It can be a struggle to be around people that don't believe in God and keep up with your Christian lifestyle [been there, done that]. Here are some tips on how to allow yourself to do both.
It's easy to say you're a Christian and pull the “I'll pray to God later, I'm super tired right now” card. Luckily for us, God doesn't keep tabs on that because He just wants to have a relationship with us. Here are 5 reasons [that I have found based on my own experiences] on why it's so important to spend time with Him.
Humility is basically to be humble of yourself; it's the act of putting others above your own importance. What exactly does the Bible say about this in particular? In the following we dig deep into God's Word to discover how and why we should be humble.
Finding your worth can be a real struggle. For those of you feeling like you're wrestling with the standards of society, the following highlights my journey with identity and how I chose to put the opinions of others to rest and set my eyes on the ultimate opinion of my Creator.
It's finally the new year! To start 2018 off right, I want to go over some highlights of 2017, and a few other fun things! :)
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas right now since it's around the corner, but what really is the true reason that we celebrate and why is it such an important holiday for us? The following will cover that so keep reading to find out!
It's the most wonderful time of the year right? Continue reading to find out how we can use this season to set our focus on God!
What's delightful is that God's grace is given to us freely. We're allowed to bloom in satisfactory with that grace because that's what God wants us to do; He wants us to feel that grace. The following will tackle the journey of becoming satisfied in His grace and allowing it to be enough to sustain us.
I've found that when life feels like a rollercoaster full of ups and downs, the people that remind me of the love and comfort of God are those who are followers of Him. Keep reading this guide to Christian friends to learn how to be a good one and find the good ones.
It's easy to get caught up in idolizing things, big or small. This could be anything really; your weight, the looks of others, our daily routines, what we use in our everyday lives and how we use them. One thing I know is that we need to stop obsessing over things and start encouraging instead.
Distractions...we all have them. They all have the power to do the same thing too: distance us from God. These things can be anything that causes us to drift away from our Lord, whether it's a thing, person, or possession.
Being afraid to trust is like being on a beach with your feet just at the edge of the water, waiting to take the first step. It's like staying at the shallow end because you're afraid of what may come if you continue treading through the waters.
Being a Christian in this world isn't easy. In some places, you can be persecuted or hated just because you believe in Christ. It can be hard to find friends for some people due to the whole “fitting in” part of life. Through it all though, it's worth it to live unashamedly for God.
Go preach.
These two words have so much meaning, but in the chaos of this world it can be hard to talk about Jesus. What if someone turns their back on you if you believe? Well, if you're striving to please man over God, you've got a problem right there. Trust is a big part of our Faith. One reason for our lives being created is so that we can learn to depend on our Creator, and that can only be done when we choose to trust His plans and purpose for us.
These days we see constant advertisements and promotions of makeup, clothes, jewelry, hair, etc. that try get the attention of girls and women. While all those are lovely things, they don't compare to what's inside a person. True beauty can only be shone from the inside, when our hearts display gentleness and kindness.
As we go through life, we face challenges and burdens. In the midst of the struggle, it can be easy to think that we're on our own. The Bible says to give everything to God because He loves us, and because of that, we have an anchor through the storm.
